Eskadron saddle pads: the Schabracke that starts every collection
The saddle pad — Schabracke in German, and still what most people mean when they say “an Eskadron” — is the product the brand was built on. Every seasonal range begins with one: the pad sets the colour palette, and the ear bonnet, headcollar and bandages are matched to it afterwards. That is why buying a pad late in a season is risky if you want the set.

Is Eskadron worth it?
For the boots and bandages that Amazon actually stocks, the honest answer is that you are paying a German brand premium for good but not miraculous protection — TPE shells, neoprene linings, double hook-and-loop, sizes S to XL. Cheaper boots protect a leg. What you are really buying is fit, finish and the fact that it will still look right in three seasons. For the pads, the argument is stronger: the anatomical cut and the pressure distribution are genuinely better than budget pads, and that is the product the brand is known for.
